STR online is a project of:
- University of Groningen (www.rug.nl)
- Tresoar, Leeuwarden, (www.tresoar.nl)
- The data entry for the period 1634 – 1857 has been  realized by Breed, Nijmegen (2009 – 2013) (http://www.denkbreed.nl/)
- From 2013 the project has been continued as a volunteers project, where volunteers enter the data of the period 1499 – 1634.
